Me and my daughter visited during the carnival, and were welcomed by the most wonderful hosts as old friends The food was magical—made from fresh, high-quality ingredients, cooked from scratch with love. The breathtaking view and the unforgettable flavors made the experience special. We only had a few days in town, but this experience had to be repeated! We absolutely loved it, and will definitely return!

Incredible meal, view and service. The food was outstanding, and the menu enormous! It was hard to choose. But we were all happy with our choices, the tiny calamari, oysters, suckling pig, mushroom and truffle pasta, truffled quail eggs, and the kids ragu. It was all perfection. Unfortunately it was getting late so we had to get the little ones to bed, so no dessert this time…The service was outstanding, a family restaurant with mama cooking and her son served us. He spoke English, and French and indulged us when we tried to speak a little Italian. The wine menu was large and they were great at recommending choices, based on our preferences. The breads were amazing!Thank you for a beautiful night.A real culinary delight!

Disclaimer: I am a regular customer here, have been for years, I am a local as well. This place is not for those seeking a quick dish, pay less for more or not having the means or time to enjoy a proper high end meal. Without giving away any secrets, this is a place where due to its location, history and food some extraordinary guests convene, but they will remain nameless to respect their privacy. The place is stunning. Ronciglione is about the Borghi, and the tower is right on front of it. Bring your fiancée or wife, and reserve a table at the front of the terrace, or ask to book the private room if it is available. Full of history itself, it has grown to cater for a excellent bar with fingerfood, and the restaurant of course.Don't go there without a booking during busy times and try to avoid mass events like easter/carnival etc (except events like the horse race where tables outside can be booked in advance). Try it off season. You can go early in the evening, although I personally prefer to go later and dine into the hot summer nights. Stay late in the bar above for a final drink. The owner and his family are very well respected among the prospering local hazelnut farmers and international clientele. Any other restaurateur seeking excellence in this small village, will recommend the food and speak highly of the team.As for the food, the ingredients speak for itself. Everything in the restaurant is hand made. There is no compromise with quality. Expect to wait for the dishes to be prepared for you personally. Believe me, there are many restaurants operating precooked dishes at worst frozen and the heated up in the stack of mircowaves. Not here.I've experienced guests asking for dishes that were not on the menu, and be still be served fresh made pasta. I've also observed arrogant people, driving expensive cars and then haggling over the price of the pasta. I've also seen guests argue over ingredients trying to tell the host how to prepare his dishes (yes the mantecatura has to be with butter my vegan and lactose intollerant friends - else the fieno will taste dry - please try another dish instead). The wine list is an understatement. You can go to Rome and search for a while until you'll find equal. My secret recommendation? Try the red that is being served chilled during summer evenings. As for the menu. Try it all. Come back and experience it. As I don't eat pork myself I can't speak from personal experience about the cured hams, but the carefully crafted words will give you and understanding what to expect. A very personal design of everything in this place. For ecclectic people, hedonists and food lovers. But not for the masses.

Our family of nine, including 3 small children came for lunch. What a pleasant experience! All dishes were delicious and very well composed. The capretto was so tender. And the service excellent. First thing they did was to offer the children a pasta dish. How wise of them. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Delicious food, made in-house by the family with a long tradition. The host is very friendly, together with the team they create a true family atmosphere in a restaurant with the best view to the old town of Ronciglione. They speak Italian French and English.

One of those life changing meals! We had the truffle Cacio e Pepe tagliatelle and it was absolutely incredible. I’ve never had pasta as fresh and beautiful! And the setting couldn’t get any better. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Wouldn’t change a thing!
